Triskeles Urban Sustainability Leadership Academy

The Urban Sustainability Leadership Academy (USLA) is an after school enrichment program for high school seniors. The goal of USLA is to provide students with long term support in academics, careers placement, and postsecondary education preparation. The program will support youth in developing skills, social awareness, and self-reflection necessary to be successful. Students receive paid incentives throughout the program and also get placed in a paid internship in their dream career field. USLA provides the trainings and connections needed to boost opportunities in the lives of young people. We know that a one-size-fits-all approach limits potential and limits an individual, which is why we collaborate with talented and diverse community partners to bring to light the world’s opportunities and create concrete moments for young people to explore themselves in relationship to the steps necessary to get to where they want to go, specifically when it comes to their future careers.

Interested in Theatre Classes?

PHIT Kids & Teens Improv Classes at Philly Improv Theatre
(PHIT Comedy)

PHIT Kids & Teens classes create a safe space for students from kindergarten through high school to develop their creativity and comedic talent, while making new friends and sharing lots of laughs. Our improv curriculum is designed to delight and challenge each student at a developmentally appropriate level, allowing them to feel comfortable and accomplished as they learn the art of improvisation.

PHIT Kids & Teens would love to offer daytime improv classes that might better fit into the schedule of homeschoolers and their children. To this end, we are looking to gauge interest and determine if there is a day(s) and time of day that would work for the majority of interested families. All of our K-12 classes are staffed with one lead teacher and an assistant and meet for 1.5 hours. We must have a minimum of 8 students for a class to run.

WHEN: Week of September 25th through the week of November 13th (8 week fall class session)
WHERE: PHIT Comedy, The Adrienne Theater, 2030 Sansom St., Philadelphia, PA 19103
TIME: Possible times: Monday- Fridays, either 10:00-11:30am, 12:30-2:00pm, or 1:00-2:30pm.
COST: $199/session for homeschool families for these specific classes
AGES: K-12, classes grouped by age (Grades K-1, Grades 2-3, Grades 4-5, Grades, 6-8, and Grades 9-12)

CONTACT INFO: if interested, please email Susan LaPalombara, Kids & Teens Coordinator at kidsandteens@phitcomedy.com.
