Homeschooler’s Gathering at the Beehive
WHAT: At this once a week gathering for homeschoolers in Philadelphia, children and their families will get a chance to meet, mingle, play and learn. The first hour will be traditional playgroup style where families can hang out and play together in Beehive’s playspace. The second hour will vary week to week; a variety of lessons, activities, and experiences will be planned to meet the needs and interests of the children while parents get to chat!

Game Time Meet Up
WHAT: Queen & Rook Game Cafe, Philadelphia’s newest board game cafe, would love to have families in the space enjoying the massive game library during weekdays. The library fee is waived Monday–Wednesday, and there is never a fee for youth 12 and under. More than 1,000 games to choose from plus a menu of affordable and delicious plant-based snacks.
Come join families and teens each Wednesday for some gaming fun. Queen & Rook will pull out some of their favorite educational games, like Lovelace & Babbage, Tesla vs Edison, Timeline, Evolution, and more.

WHAT: Use this time to incorporate fitness and physical education into your school day! We’ll have a trainer available for organized activities as well as “free play” options!
Organized Activities: Soccer, Flag Football, Kickball, Bubble Ball, Basketball, Dodgeball, Scooters, Tag, GaGa, & much more!
Free Play Activities: Climb and explore in our 36 ft. high FunZone, or play with our sporting equipment on our Sport Court!

Play in a day! – Homeschool
(Wolf Performing Arts Center)
WHAT: In this one-day workshop, students will work together as an ensemble to create and perform a story! A Wolf PAC teaching artist will lead students through various activities to warm-up their voices, bodies, and imaginations. Students will focus on story structure and recreate classic tales in anticipation of creating their own play today! Using all of these skills, and some fun Wolf PAC props and accessories, students will share with an audience at the end of the workshop!

Ricochets Gymnastics
WHAT: Homeschool gymnastics class. Our program will focus on gymnastics on all 4 Olympic events as well as trampoline! Classes will also include team building skills and fun games. Group games will include all ages while gymnastics activities will be split by age/skill level.
Free wifi is available in our full-viewing lobby area. There are tables and chairs for your use in our heated/air conditioned facility. Our 21,000 sq. ft. facility offers spring floors, trampolines, foam pit, and more!

Nutcracker at George Washington High School
WHAT: International Ballet Exchange presents the world-class Donetsk Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker in a performance exclusively for Philadelphia’s school students. We invite you to bring your students to see the Donetsk Ballet’s professional dancers and our diverse youth cast in this visually rich, fully staged story ballet. Combining exciting and varied dance, the magic of theater, timeless music, and engaging narrative, this story ballet is a great way to introduce students to the performing arts.
We provide an extensive educators’ guide to the ballet with pre- and post-performance classroom activities using the ballet as a context for reading, writing, and creative play.
