Drama Program/Science Classes

Just thought I’d let homeschoolers know about some programs beginning in early September:


WHAT: Once on This Island Junior

WHEN: September 5th or 6th, 2012 (Wednesday or Thursday: choose one day to audition)

TIME: 6 – 8:15 pm

AGES: Kids ages 6 – 14 can participate

WHERE: Northeast Older Adult Center (Bustleton & Solly Aves)

REHEARSALS:  Will be Monday & Wednesday nights & Saturday afternoons beginning mid-September 2012

PERFORMANCES:  Will be on December 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th of 2012

AUDITIONS:  Students should prepare a song to audition.  (The song can be from any show.)  Please bring sheet music; no CDs or tapes. Students will also be asked to read from selected scenes.  A script will be provided.

  • Friday, October 12th – Skeletons
  • Friday, December 14th – Dinosaurs & Fossils
  • Friday, January 11th – Animal Adaptations
  • Friday, February 15th – Animal Families
  • Friday, March 15th – Endangered Species
  • Friday, April 12th – Butterflies & Moths

WHERE: Wagner Free Institute of Science, 1700 W. Montgomery Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19121

TIME: Programs normally begin at 10am and end around noon.

COST:  Free! (But Donations are encouraged)
